Belgian band Absynthe Minded had a unique idea to promote the video for their latest single "Space", helping them to gain radio airplay and encourage fan loyalty.
Their site mostexclusivevideoever.com only broadcasted the video whilst the song was being played on the radio.
Here comes the science bit, concentrate:
The track was created with a detectable audio watermark which allowed the program, which operates similarly to song recognition technology, to identify the Absynthe Minded song among the constant stream of radio play. At times when the song was not being played by radio DJs, visitors to mostexclusivevideoever.com could instead access a short film detailing the making of the video. (source: Springwise)
The video and song aren't that interesting but still, the idea is a bit different! Reminds me of Adam Tensta’s Pass It On app which I wrote about here, check it.
